Staff Accountant for Roofing Company

OVERVIEW

Professional, high-energy, technology-first and data-driven company, Rivertop Roofing is recruiting experienced staff accountants for our Atlanta, GA office to support the national brand. We are looking for detail-oriented professionals that can hit the ground running with only basic company-specific training on how we operate. We are looking for someone to bring their accomplished and professional experience to our growing company to put us on the right track.

COMPENSATION

• $60k - $75k Salary based on experience

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of accredited college or junior college

• 2+ years of work experience in accounting, bookkeeping, and/or finance

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Proficient in QuickBooks

• Excellent spoken, written, and digital communication skills

• Very detail oriented and thorough and understands the importance of repeatable systems and processes

• The ability to maintain confidentiality is critical

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Including general accounting duties, assisting book keepers, and keeping accounts in order.

• Manage customer, vendor, employee, and supplier accounts AP and AR.

• Calculate and report on status, revenue, and margin by job/customer.
• Calculate on leading and lagging financial pipeline metrics regarding commissions owed, and incoming payments.
• Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting including books closing processes.
• Assist in annual tax return filings.
• Manage all AP and AR, including making payments, collecting payments, and managing deposits.
• Manage company payroll for a small team.
• Manage all 1099 responsibilities for our sub-contractor network.
• Oversee incoming and outgoing mail.
• Maintain weekly petty cash.
• Account for company credit card charges.
• Manage company vehicle lease payment responsibilities.
• Manage insurance and compliance payments and audits.
